Through the development of any company there are always people with ideas and products which influence that development.  There have been a  number of people who have helped and inspired us to grow in to the company we are today, people who I am priviledged to acknowledge and thank for their help.  Pete Howard – Founder

Bryn Hughes

Bryn ran the youth club that was the base for my early Duke of Edinburgh award activities.  Bryn influenced so much of my early life as a mentor and a great friend.  Like me he became heavily involved in canoeing personally and working at regional and national level within the British Canoe Union.  Without Bryn’s early guidance and encouragement to improve and grow in everything I did I would simply not have become involved in the canoe and kayak industry and there would be no Streamlyte today.  Sadly Bryn passed away after battling the terminal effects of a lifelong illness but he will always be there as an influence for me.

Mike Dalton

Mike,  better known as ‘Mr Nomad’ was a pioneer of early slalom kayak and paddle designs and helped introduce many young people to slalom in his boats.  When I decided to start designing my first slalom paddle Mike happily gave advice and initially he produced the blades for me.  As my demand grew he found it harder to maintain supply and so, in his typically generous way, he offered to teach me how to construct moulds and make blades myself.  I have never looked back and I’ll never forget that he was so instrumental in getting Streamlyte started.

Alastair Wilson

Alastair and his wife Marianne are the founders of the Lendal company, for me the finest paddle designers and manufacturers in the world.  One cannot fail to be inspired by the innovation and quality that was the hallmark of the Lendal business until Alastair retired in 2007.  It is easy to see the Lendal influence in our current range of  paddles and some might say they are too similar.  For me though this is a tribute to Alastairs great contribution to the industry something that Streamlye will strive to emultate as the UK’s only major paddle producer today.

Neil Baxter

Gifted paddle and kayak designer, Neil has been responsible for world class designs such as the Kinetik for which we proudly hold a production licence.  Neil designed many of Lendal’s succesful shapes and we have been priviledged to have his help in shaping some of our blades and to develop our production systems.  His expertise has been of immense value to our development in recent years and we look forward to working with him for many years to come.
